Mint Security Systems Ace Quality Standards Inspections

Midlands based security experts Mint Security Systems have achieved a silver medal from the National Security Inspectorate, (NSI) the independent regulator and leading certification body for the security sector. By becoming an NSI-approved installer, Mint Security Systems can install advanced intruder alarms with police response activation and security systems which meet insurance requirements, where other companies can’t.

To become an NSI-approved contractor, companies have to be rigorously inspected twice a year to ensure they are maintaining quality standards, are thoroughly security vetted and issue each installation with a certificate of compliance. Recognised installers such as Mint Security Systems constantly meet British and European standards, and are also required to operate a 24 hour callout service.

Chris Watson, Director of Mint Security Systems said, “For over 15 years we have been industry leaders in the area, and have installed intruder alarms, CCTV systems and access control systems in hundreds of domestic and commercial properties. As an NSI-approved contractor, our customers can rest assured knowing our highly qualified engineers will install reliable, state-of-the-art equipment of the highest European standards.”

In addition, trusting Mint Security Systems to install a burglar alarm or CCTV System can also save residents on their insurance premium. Being accredited by the NSI means all of our security systems comply with insurance requirements which can entitle our customers to a discount – while further protecting their property.”

The National Security Inspectorate regulates their pool of approved companies by operating audits every 6 months. The thorough inspection includes checking all paperwork and processes, and half a day checking 3 recent installs which are picked at random. All security systems installed have to meet current European standards EN 50131 & PD 6662 to complete the audit, which Mint Security Systems recently passed in February 2014. Only companies determined to be the best in their industry subject themselves to such regular and random inspections by a not-for-profit organisation which works closely with UK government bodies.

From Mansfield to Matlock, the Midlands’ security is in safe hands with Mint Security Systems,” added Chris.
