In the Summer of 2017, a premeditated crime was carried out on a local elderly couple by someone they knew – and trusted. As their former care worker, the woman from Worksop had the confidence and trust of the couple when she turned up on their doorstep, still dressed in her old uniform. After gaining access to the house, the perpetrator heartlessly stole a wallet full of money from the vulnerable couple.

While the story was not a happy one for the elderly couple involved, there is a silver lining in the fact that the thief was caught. And it was all thanks to the recently installed CCTV. Had it not be for the CCTV camera, it’s likely that there would have been no substantial evidence against the woman, and she would have got away with her crime.
